At this years CWA Summit (April 15 – 17) the prominent gyms, staff and brands of the North American climbing gym industry community gathered at the Salt Palace Convention Centre in Salt Lake City. For the team at Clava, it was an amazing opportunity to showcase how far the platform has developed and grown since last year’s Summit and spend some valuable face-to-face time with US and UK staff getting to talk, hang out and develop ideas. We got to host US Clava customers, introduce the platform to a lot of interested gyms.
An Official Launch
Clava launched in style with the full team on site. We launched with US clients visiting to see our latest development pathway updates, new clients intrigued about the future of CRM software and legacy users of outdated CRMs excited to see how Clava could improve their business operations.
We’ve grown organically through strong relationships, but now feels like the right time to share our platform openly and show how Clava helps climbing walls:
- Streamline operations
- Boost revenue
- Reduce external spending
- Give climbers the best possible experience
Why We Were Excited to Exhibit
Previously, we exhibited the CWA as first-timers – introducing ourselves to the US and learning about the specific needs of the market. This year, we had the brightest stand, a full-time US rep, US customers and a platform that exceeds the competition’s abilities.
Attendees could explore:
- All-in-one payments and POS platform – card payments, memberships, retail, café, and studio integrations
- Latest feature releases – Extended POS and Z-Out functionality, Space Availability Manager, Customer Types, Off Peak, Custom Gift Cards, and so, so much more!
- Review upcoming feature launches – including QuickBooks/Xero, Email Marketing, Data access and more!
- An in-person experience – exploring the full feature set of Clava both as a customer, Front desk team member and General Manager.
Launching Our New Integration with QuickBooks
We also unveiled our brand-new integration with QuickBooks, connecting financial accountancy software directly with Clava.
Benefits for walls include:
- Less manual admin: Automatically sync invoices, payments, customers, and products to reduce duplicate data entry.
- Fewer errors and cleaner books: Reduce mismatches and typos by keeping accounting data consistent across systems.
- Faster close and reporting: Ensure transactions are captured quickly so finance reporting stays current.
- Clear visibility into sync health: Monitor sync status, see errors, and resolve issues with guidance.
- Auditability and compliance: Maintain an audit log of synced transactions for troubleshooting and oversight.
- Scales with volume: Support real-time updates for critical changes and batch sync for high-volume or historical data.
- Multi Location: Supports multiple locations and/or multiple Quickbook accounts
A Tipping Point for the Industry
One message from the conference was clear: many operators are frustrated with outdated old management platforms (and some of the newer entrants). The industry is evolving rapidly, and operators need flexible, integrated, and responsive solutions.
At Clava, we embrace this challenge, continuously developing our platform to meet today’s needs while anticipating tomorrow’s.
Looking Ahead
The CWA Conference reinforced the value of community and collaboration. Hearing directly from operators and US users gave us invaluable insights into their challenges and aspirations.
Clava will continue to provide a platform that is:
- Robust and reliable
- Agile and forward-thinking
- Focused on helping operators provide exceptional climbing experiences
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, shared their experiences, and contributed to the discussions.
